Strange as it may seem, one of the easiest ways to spy WhatsApp of another free phone is to use a service included directly in the app: I refer to WhatsApp Web that, as you probably already know, allows you to use WhatsApp on your PC through the browser .
The operation of WhatsApp Web is extremely simple, and that’s where the problem lies! By connecting to the main page of the service and framing with the smartphone the QR code that appears on the screen, you can access all your conversations and use WhatsApp just as you do on smartphones.

cy risk in all this mechanism? I’ll explain it to you right away. If you leave the check mark next to the item Stay connected , WhatsApp Web keeps open access to WhatsApp for subsequent uses, so the code scan is no longer required and you can directly access the chat.
Now, since WhatsApp Web does not require the connection of the smartphone and the PC to the same wireless network (as long as the smartphone on which the application is installed is on and connected to the Internet, even via 3G / 4G), an attacker could subtract with an excuse the phone, frame the QR code of WhatsApp Web on your PC (or even on a tablet) and keep a gap always open on your private conversations.
Chilling, right? I agree, but fortunately there are several ways to avert this risk and to prevent someone from poking around in WhatsApp conversations via WhatsApp Web.
- Avoid lending your smartphone to other people – however trivial it may appear, this advice is the most effective of all!
- Control the access to WhatsApp Web – by accessing the settings of WhatsApp on your smartphone, you can check the open access on WhatsApp Web and close them, so that the scan of the QR code is requested again. If you use an Android terminal , you can control access to WhatsApp by pressing the ⋮ button located at the top right and selecting the WhatsApp Web item from the menu that appears. If you use an iPhone , however, you can do the same thing by going to the Settings tab located at the bottom right and selecting the item WhatsApp Web / Desktop from the latter. Once you have identified the active WhatsApp Web sessions, you can close them by pressing on them or, alternatively, you can tap on the option Disconnect from all the computers and close all the accesses to WhatsApp Web in one go.
